My Karma Ran Over Your Dogma（自己的命运自己做主）

美国好莱坞影星莎朗斯通在法国嘎纳电影节上说：
“And all these earthquake and stuff happened and I thought: Is that karma, when you are not nice that bad things happen to you?”
对莎朗斯通的这一段话，安如山是这样翻译的：
“哦，恰好是这个时候地震和（其他真实的伤感的）故事发生了，于是我想：（这）是不是所谓的因果报应？也就是说，如果你对（他人）不是友善的话，不痛快的事就会降临到你的头上。”
安如山认为，要理解莎朗斯通的这一段话，理解的关键词语是佛教语汇“karma”。
到底“karma”是什么意思呢？
这个问题要待安如山慢慢说来。
前几天，我刚好在百度知道上看到一个网友的留言。网友问：
“英语高手来翻译一下：My karma ran over your dogma。有人翻译为“世事无常”，是这个意思吗？karma是“业”。dogma是“教条”。希望高手来回答，不要复制的。”
安如山认为，这个网友提出的问题，是一个超难度的问题,涉及宗教为其一,没有上下句为其二。安如山想大概是“我的命运超越了你的教条(宗教)的限制”。
其中，karma，n. 1. 羯磨,业(佛教名词) 2. 命运;因果报应。例如：That guy has good karma, so the girls just like to spend time with him。那男孩有好运,所以女孩们都喜欢跟他在一起。
因此，对于这句话，安如山的理解是：我的“业”（指人生在世的各连续阶段中的行为活动产生的所有后果，被看作可以决定人的命运，也就是“因果报应”）超越了你的教条的限制，达到一定境界就可以跳出五行之中了。
基于这一理解，安如山将这句话译为：“自己的命运自己做主”，绝对不是“世事无常”的意思。
安如山认为，大家要理解西方人心目中的“karma”的意思。还可以多听听一首有名的歌。这首歌是Kid公司的音乐，很有特点。这个公司可以作出Ever17里面“Karma”这样的杰作。片头动画的主题歌很耐听，曲子具有温柔、动听。全歌词如下：

大家理解这段歌词的意思，也就基本能理解西方人对佛学用语“karma”的意思，才更能理解莎朗斯通所说的“karma”的基本含义的。
